In 1848, Louis Brandt started a small workshop to make pocket watches and recommended his watches in Italy, UK and Northern Europe. In 1879, his two sons took over the business. But because of unstable qualities of parts supplied by other workshops , two brothers decided to produce all the parts by themselves by mechanized production.
In 1892, they produced the first Minute-repeater watch that can tell hour, quarter and minute. In 1894, they made the precious watches marked with “Ω” that is the symbol of perfection and achievement. So brand Omega was born since then. Two years later, their movement was certified by several European famous chronometers. After that, Omega copy watches with outstanding techniques earned a great reputation.
In 1960s, NASA tested many fine watches on the aspects of weightlessness, magnetic field, shock and temperature difference, the exquisite Omega Speedmaster fake watches had won. In 1965, NASA decided to assign Omega for astronaut chronometers.
In 1969, Omega, following Armstrong, lands on the Moon. In 1970, Omega Speedmaster also helped Apollo 13 return back to Earth from Moon and was awarded “Snoopy” by NASA.
